Sirus Automotive have now launched our second ‘Drive From Wheelchair’ vehicle solution. Our latest conversion is based on the Volkswagen Caddy, a high quality conversion combined with the superiority and reliability of a VW.
Design
This unique vehicle gives the chair user total independence at all times, thus eliminating the need for strenuous transfer or assistive help. The driving experience can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your own chair.
Infrared remote opening of the rear end means you have the option of opening the vehicle from within the home etc to allow the tailgate to lift and ramp deploy whilst you make your way to the car. From here you can enter straight into the I-Can, automatically lock into position, close the vehicle (again remotely) and begin your journey to where ever you desire.
We can provide a broad range of driving aids which makes driving possible for individuals who may not have previously considered it an option. Once you have decided on the exact specification you would like, your vehicle will then be tailor made to your exact requirements. We can add a wide range of specific driver controls from simple push / pull hand controls to full joystick controls.
