Sirus Automotives ‘I-Can’ Drive From Wheelchair vehicle gives you total independence at all times. You no longer need the help of family members or carers to get out and about as the driving experience can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your own chair.

The Sirus ‘I-Can’ is based on the 1.6 Turbo Diesel 7 speed DSG Automatic Caddy MPV. The new Euro 5 engine offering fuel efficiency of up to 54mpg and Low CO² emissions 149 g/km. As standard the vehicle provides power steering, climatic air conditioning, electric windows, electric heated mirrors, RDS Radio with CD player, body coloured bumpers & mirrors and 15” alloy wheels. Re-designed stylish front end, black roofbars as standard and new range of vibrant colours.

Features of the conversion

As standard, the vehicle offers one wheelchair space plus two seats and the option of securing a 2nd wheelchair in the rear. We can also provide as an optional extra, up to two fold down seats in the rear giving you space for up to 5 people.

Entering and exiting the vehicle

Full remote control of the rear end means you open the vehicle remotely to allow the tailgate to lift and ramp deploy whilst you make your way to the car. From here you can enter straight into the I-Can, automatically lock into position, close the vehicle (again remotely) and begin your journey to wherever you desire.

Lowering suspension

The I-Can has lowering rear suspension. This means that once the ramp is deployed, you have a much lower floor entry point and a shallower ramp angle. It also ensures you have a smoother ride and a self levelling function so the vehicle always maintains the correct ground clearance.

How long will I have to wait for a vehicle?

We can discuss this with you once you have had a demonstration and we can see your exact requirements. Depending on our current orders and if you are going through Motability, you could have a vehicle on average within 12 -16 weeks.

What is the maximum seating capacity of the vehicle?

There are various configurations possible:

a. Wheelchair driver, passenger in the front and one rear passenger seat – as standard (for 3 people)

b. You can also have a wheelchair tie down system fitted in the rear for occasional use, should someone else need to drive (for 4 people)

c. You have the option of 1 or 2 individual rear fold down seats fitted into the vehicle at an additional cost (for up to 5 people; one wheelchair user and 4 able-bodied passengers)
