In July 2009, Sirus Automotive were invited to Buckingham Palace to meet Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillip to receive our Queens Award for Enterprise.

In October 2008 Sirus Automotive were invited to 10 Downing St to meet the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. We presented one of our Drive From Wheelchair Kangoo’s to our customer, Cassandra Sohal.

West Bromwich Albion

In October 2009, Vicky Crees our Marketing Manager went onto the pitch at West Bromwich Albion to present a cheque to one of the players, Chris Brunt which launched the Sirus Automotive Disability Sports Programme.

At the Mobility Roadshow 2009 at Kemble Airfield, Sirus were delighted to invite Sharon Davies onto our stand to meet Simon and Russell.

Ken Hames

At Beyond Boundaries exhibition in 2008 Sirus met Ken Hames, who is famous for his ‘Beyond Boundaries’ Programme on Channel 4.


Mayor of Sandwell, West Midlands

Councillor Geoff Lewis, the current Mayor of Sandwell joined Sirus at our Open Day in July 2009 where he handed over the keys to one of our customers, Mrs Meryll Elwell who had a VW ‘We Can’ to transport her scooter.

Ex West Brom Legend, Cyrille Regis

In March 2010, Sirus Automotives chosen charity The Albion Foundation won the Partnership Award at the Disability Sports Awards. The award was for the Club who demonstrated their commitment to the disabled community in the area. Well done to Paul Hunt, Disability Sports Development Officer and his team at the Foundation! Baroness-Grey Thompson (Paralympian Tanni Grey-Thompson)

Coventry Transport Museum created a unique and innovative exhibition of vehicles designed for disabled people called ‘Transport for Disabled People: Past – Present – Future’, that covers the history of disabled transport from the late 1800′s to the present day. For the first time in the history of British museums, a collection of vehicles designed for the disabled has been brought together under one roof. The exhibition was opened by Baroness-Grey Thompson (Paralympian Tanni Grey-Thompson)

Sirus Automotive were delighted to be invited to display one of our ‘Drive From Wheelchair’ vehicles as part of the exhibition. The Sirus car represented  the most advanced, innovate solution on the market today.

Roberto Di Matteo, ex-Manager of West Bromwich Albion Football Club

Sirus Automotive were invited to West Bromwich Albion disabled supporters club annual dinner at the ground at the end of April. We had the privilege to watch the first team train, eat with sporting legend Bob Taylor and then mingle with the team and previous manager Roberto Di Matteo.



Sir Stirling Moss

British motor racing legend, Sir Stirling Moss, officially opened the Mobility Roadshow 2010, meeting our Director Russell Venvill on his exhibition tour. Sir Stirling Moss says “I was amazed and pleased at the amount of options available to disabled people in finding their personal transport,” he goes on to say. “Investment in mobility innovation is vital to enable disabled and older people to maintain an independent lifestyle and by so doing is crucial to the general wellbeing of this nation. That is why the Mobility Roadshow is vitally important, bringing together a wealth of products and information.”

We had the privilege to watch the first team train, mingle with players and eat with sporting legends. STEVEN Reid may be an accomplished Barclays Premier League and international player, but he is very much a rookie when it comes to powerchair football! The Baggies right-back took part in a powerchair football training and development session, which are run by the Albion Foundation – the charitable arm of WBAFC – thanks to funding from official partner Sirus Automotive.

Nicolas Hamilton

Born with Cerebral Palsy Nicolas lives life as well as he can and making sure that his disability does not get in the way of what he wants to do in life. Nicolas does simulation racing where he became very successful by achieving UK Number 1. Becoming hugely successful in the motor sport industry and having a disability Nicolas has great interest in our market. He attended th Get Going Live event where he spoke to visitors and exhibitors for over 2 hours, he’s a real inspiration to young people with disabilities.
